1. About Us
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website secondchanceauto.la (the "Site") and the products and services offered by Second Chance Auto Parts ("Second Chance Auto", "we", "us", or "our"), located at 11120 101 St, La Crête, AB T0H 2H0, Canada. By using the Site or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms.
2. Used & Recycled Parts
We sell used, recycled, and remanufactured automotive parts and vehicles. All parts are sold "as-is" except where a written warranty is provided. Photos, mileage, and donor-vehicle information are provided for reference and may not reflect every cosmetic detail. Part numbers and fitment notes are a guide only — it is the buyer's responsibility to confirm fitment for their specific year, make, model, and trim before installation.
3. Warranty
Unless otherwise stated on your invoice, eligible parts carry a 30-day standard warranty covering part failure under normal use. The warranty is limited to refund, replacement, or store credit at our discretion, and does not cover:
- Labour, towing, diagnostic fees, or consequential damages.
- Parts damaged by improper installation, modification, abuse, racing, or off-road use.
- Electrical components, sensors, or electronic modules unless explicitly stated.
- Items installed without core return where a core charge applies.
Warranty claims require the original invoice or order number and the part returned in the same condition supplied. Extended warranties may be offered in writing at the time of sale.
4. Orders, Pricing & Payment
Listed prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude applicable taxes (currently 5% GST) and shipping. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to cancel orders affected by obvious errors or stock shortages, with a full refund where payment has been made. Payment is accepted on pickup or by e-transfer. Online card payments via Stripe are being introduced and will be subject to Stripe's terms.
5. Reservations & Holds
Parts may be soft-reserved through the Site for a limited time. Reserved parts that are not paid for or picked up within the hold window will be returned to inventory without notice.
6. Pickup & Shipping
For pickup, bring photo ID and your order number — yard staff will help load. Most small parts ship within 1–3 business days; freight items require a separate quote and may be shipped via third-party carriers. Risk of loss passes to the buyer once the item is collected or handed to a carrier.
7. Returns
Returns must be initiated within 30 days of purchase. Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in the original condition with all tags, brackets, and hardware. Special-order items, electrical components, and parts marked "final sale" are non-returnable. The buyer is responsible for return shipping unless the item was misdescribed or shipped in error. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, less any restocking fee disclosed at the time of sale.
8. Selling Your Vehicle to Us
Vehicle purchase offers made through our "Sell Us Your Vehicle" form are non-binding estimates subject to physical inspection, verification of ownership, a clear lien check, and government-issued ID. Final offers may be adjusted or withdrawn if the vehicle's condition differs from the information submitted.
9. Part Requests & Quotes
Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote (default 7 days) and are subject to part availability. Submitting a request does not create a binding contract until we confirm the order in writing or you pay the invoice.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Site to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Scrape, copy, or republish our listings, photos, or pricing without permission.
- Interfere with the Site's security, including bypassing bot-protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) or rate limits.
- Use the Site in any way that violates Canadian, provincial, or local law.
11. Intellectual Property
All Site content — including the Second Chance Auto name and logo, photographs of our yard and inventory, written descriptions, and software — is owned by or licensed to Second Chance Auto and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce or use any of it commercially without our written consent.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Second Chance Auto's total liability arising out of or relating to any product or use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant part. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, vehicle downtime, towing, rental, or labour costs.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Second Chance Auto, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your misuse of a part, improper installation, or breach of these Terms.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in Alberta, Canada.
